'Paint like an artist’ from Sketch to canvas – Thursday 10th October

Thursday 10th October, 10am – 4pm, £85 per person

Learn the artist’s habit of creating art on paper for daily practice, for pleasure and to develop ideas for paintings. Discover how to create mixed media sketches which can be developed into a series of exciting paintings. Fed up with not achieving what you want with your paintings? Using my artist’s process you will take away the pressure and enjoy pushing your ideas further, simplifying and developing your initial ideas to produce something to be proud of.

Create several studies on paper and a finished painting of your choice; a favourite landscape or seacape, harbour scene or holiday memories of your choice, using acrylics with mixed media. Beginners and more advanced painters will find this an exciting way to paint. 

Venue: The Fancy Loft, Farnham Pottery, Wrecclesham, Farnham GU10 4ND Please note, there is no wheelchair access and a small flight of stairs to access the loft. 

Materials and lunch are not provided. You will be sent a materials list and will be expected to bring a basic set of materials for the day including acrylics, brushes and a surface to paint on. Easels and boards are provided. 

There is an enticing selection of food and drinks available to purchase from the cafe on site. Alternatively, please bring your own lunch and any refreshments for the day.
