Exploring Seascapes

Thursday 12^th October, 10am – 4pm, £85 per person

A day to explore ideas, loosen up your brushstrokes and build confidence, enabling you to move from sketchbook ideas to an exciting painting without fear. We will be painting with a limited palette of acrylics and mixed-media.
This dynamic approach to painting the seascape, incorporates painted collage, whilst encouraging you to vary your brushmarks. You’ll gain a better understanding of how to mix a limited colour palette and create exciting new layered compositions. We will be creating lots of studies and paintings on paper without the pressure to create a ‘finished piece’; this will all help you to work freely and explore new ideas. Perfect for all abilities; you may wish to produce a more finished painting in the afternoon, but the studies provide everyone with a wealth of ideas for future paintings. It will be an exciting and challenging day with a small group of artists. 

Venue: The Fancy Loft, Farnham Pottery, Wrecclesham, Farnham GU10 4ND Please note, there is no wheelchair access and a small flight of stairs to access the loft. 

Materials and lunch are not provided. You will be sent a materials list and will be expected to bring a basic set of materials for the day including acrylics, brushes and a surface to paint on. Easels and boards are provided. 

Please bring your own lunch and any refreshments for the day. There is an enticing selection of food and drinks available to purchase from the cafe on site, with vegan options.
