'Big Skies ' Workshop - Friday 27th February

Friday 27h February, 10am – 4pm, £85 per person

If you’re a cloud watcher you’ll love this workshop. Learn to create dramatic sky paintings using a simple acrylic colour palette with gestural painting techniques, beautiful glazed colour and texture. With a contemporary twist on classic Turner-inspired skies we’ll be exploring gentle diffused light, soft cloud formations and everything from sunsets to dramatic stormy weather. Learn to use a palette knife with expressive brush work to capture the movement and energy of skies, painting with layered subtle colours and creating depth and atmosphere with glazing techniques. Suitable for all abilities, including beginners. 

Venue: The Fancy Loft, Farnham Pottery, Wrecclesham, Farnham GU10 4ND Please note, there is no wheelchair access and a small flight of stairs to access the loft. 

Materials and lunch are not provided but there is a lovely on-site cafe where you can buy food (with vegetarian/vegan options). You will be sent a suggested materials list and will need to bring a basic set of materials for the day. Easels and boards are provided.
