'Paint like an artist’ from Sketch to canvas – Thursday 20th August

Fed up with not achieving what you want with your paintings? Learn the artist’s habit of creating art on paper for daily practice, for pleasure, and to develop fresh ideas for your paintings. Discover how to create mixed-media sketches and develop them into a series of exciting paintings. By using my artist’s process, you will take away any pressure, loosen up your style and enjoy pushing your ideas further.

This is a fun workshop that helps you to simplify and paint something to be proud of. Create several studies on paper and a finished painting of your choice; a favourite landscape or seascape, harbour scene or holiday memories, using acrylics with mixed media. Beginners and more advanced painters will find this an exciting way to paint.

Venue: The Fancy Loft, Farnham Pottery, Wrecclesham, Farnham GU10 4ND Please note, there is no wheelchair access and a small flight of stairs to access the loft. 

Materials and lunch are not provided but there is a lovely on-site cafe where you can buy food (with vegetarian/vegan options). You will be sent a suggested materials list and will need to bring a basic set of materials for the day. Easels and boards are provided.
