'The Drawing Workout' 

Thursday 15th January, 10am – 4pm, £85 per person

Get ready for a creative year with this inspiring drawing workshop. From sketchbook techniques to expressive work on paper that is innovative and personal to your own unique style. We’ll be discovering new ways to create using delicate marks and bold strokes, adding collage, erasing and smudging with graphite, charcoal, chalk and pastel in atmospheric tonal compositions. Learn to use expressive lines to communicate your ideas and create in-depth drawings on layered and textured surfaces to bring a new dimension to your work. This workshop will help you to work confidently in your sketchbook and beyond, to freely create atmospheric studies of the landscape, still life or figurative work.  

There will be drawing exercises, with time to play, explore the materials and create several exciting works on paper. No drawing experience required! 

Venue: The Fancy Loft, Farnham Pottery, Wrecclesham, Farnham GU10 4ND Please note, there is no wheelchair access and a small flight of stairs to access the loft. 

Materials and lunch are not provided. You will be sent a materials list and will be expected to bring a basic set of drawing materials for the day. Easels,  boards and some materials are provided. 

There is an enticing selection of food and drinks available to purchase from the cafe on site. Alternatively, please bring your own lunch and any refreshments for the day.
